I decided to replace the festoon bulbs that illuminate the car's interior with brighter, LED bulbs, which also consume somewhat less power. This has much improved the luggage boot and underbonnet illumination.

Service and MoT time. Some relatively minor fettling: the offside sill needed some welding and
a nearside front ball-joint was replaced, as were rear damper rubbers and washers.
