Time for a major hydraulic service. I also had the front suspension struts replaced with new units from Crewe (see 2012 update): this has eliminated the creaking and improved the ride significantly. All in all, this has made 2014 an expensive year!

Having done that, a niggling little problem - failure to engage the parking brake lock when gearbox selector in P - was investigated and tracked down to malfunction of the gearbox actuator ECU. This unit also affects the seat movement and memory functions, which had likewise become temperamental.

The offending electronic box was detatched, sent away for overhaul and refitted. The opportunity was also taken to fit new parking brake cables, as the existing ones had stretched. Bentley once again functions correctly.
