As I write, Bentley is with Paul Mascard at SCSW who has sent the offending ECU for overhaul. As a precaution, I have asked him to send the passenger's seat ECU as well.
Being short, I like a high driving position; but and not having a tilting steering wheel, there is then very little room between the bottom of the steering wheel and the tops of my thighs, making entry and exit a bit of a struggle, especially in tight spaces. So I use the seat memory functions to move my seat down and back to make entry and exit easy. Having the full range of movements is therefore important to me, apart from the fact that I am a bit fussy about having everything working properly.

Changing the driver's door mirror glass for a convex one has improved rear offside visibility. This is not an easy job, as the mirror assembly is both fragile and expensive, needs a special tool for removal and requires a firm hand both to remove and to refit. I have not yet decided whether to replace the nearside mirror.
Time for a service and MoT - no problems there.
A minor issue is that cruise control has become erratic, dropping out unpredictably. Changing the brake light relay has reduced the frequency of dropout, but not cured the fault. Ultimately, it may be necessary to have the cruise ECU rebuilt, but it may be worthwhile to examine the operation of the brake light switch before dismounting the ECU.
Meanwhile, I have replaced the gas struts that act as springs, supporting the boot lid. As noted in the 2011 update, I bought these from SCS Engineering Solutions of Derby, who also uprated them from 400 to 430 somethings (lbs/sq inch?); they could arguably do with a bit more.
