Tavistock beat its bounds on the afternoon of Sunday 28 May 2000 - Rogation Sunday. A small group of citizens, including the Vicar of Tavistock, Rev Preb John Rawlings and the new Town Mayor, Cllr Mrs Judith Williams, walked from the edge of Whitchurch Down ...
| ... to a new boundary stone, kindly donated by the Tavistock Lions Club. The inscription reads:
