Roger Mathew's Menu Generator for TAS-Professional (3.xx)

The Menu Generator writes a TAS multi-window menu for you without any programming. It also saves the menu definition, allowing you to make changes to an existing definition and regenerate the modified menu in a few seconds.

If you have better things to do than spend hours fiddling with array assignments and the infernally fussy menu(...) function, but would like your applications to have the professional polish which a multi-window point-and-shoot menu confers, you need the Menu Generator.

Features

Create an error-free 50-option TAS-style multi-windowed menu program first time, every time with the Menu Generator. Generates and compiles .EDT or .SRC code for standalone TAS-style menus. No programming! You have only to "paint" the screen.

Roger Mathew's Window Generator for TAS-Professional (3.xx)

The Window Generator writes TAS code for a window without requiring you to do any programming. It saves a definition of the window, allowing you to edit an existing definition and regenerate the source code in a few seconds.

If you have better things to do than spend hours fiddling with pmsg(...) and window(...) parameters, but would like precisely-positioned windowed prompts or multi-layered help screens to add pizazz to your applications, you need the Window Generator.

You need only type the text to be windowed. the Window Generator calculates box parameters to fit, displays the window and lets you push it around with cursor keys, optionally underlaying the relevant Standard Screen from your application sources so that you can see what the result will look like. When you are satissfied, press a key and the Window Generator writes a TAS code fragment (.EDT or .SRC) which you can haul into your application code.

TED II

Roger Mathew's FAST Editor for TAS-Professional (3.xx)

TED II is a full replacement for the source code editor (TASEDPRG.RUN), supplied with TAS-Professional 3.xx. It is also much, much more! Developed from Ted-Professional - Roger Mathew's superfast syntax-assisted SRC code editor - TED II is a fully integrated TAS development system. Now, you can compile and test your TAS programs without leaving TED II, run TAS under TED II to maitain and edit the Data Dictionary, shell to DOS and run utilities like EDT2SRC, or even another instance of TED II.

TED II is even faster than TED-Prof, and can still accommodate over 3000 lines of TAS source code. TED II generates plain ASCII-style TAS source code (.SRC files), preferred by most professional programmers.

The user interface has all the same code menus and syntax assistance as TASEDPRG, applied to ASCII style TAS source code. TED II has all the features of TED-Prof plus menu-driven file, field and label name selection, user-configurable colour options and more intelligent scrolling and block movements.

Automatic field placements in the screen painter now work horizontally as well as vertically.
